14. Troubleshooting
The TV-Box you have purchased is equipped with state-of-the-art technology and is safe to operate. Nevertheless,

Solution
• Are the cables connected correctly?
• Is the power adapter inserted into a functioning socket outlet?
• Is the TV-Box switched on?
• Is the correct input selected?
• Is the connected device (e.g. computer) switched on?
• Is the connected signal correct (video or S-video signal)?
• Have you selected a too high resolution (e.g. 1280*1024 for a normal
1024*768 monitor)?
• Does the aerial or the cable connection work correctly? It must be a normal
analog aerial signal. Connection to a satellite system is not possible.
• Point the IR remote control with the IR LED first directly towards the front
side of the TV-Box, see fold-out page, position (1).
The range is normally several meters.
• Are the batteries in the IR remote control weak or empty?
• Are the batteries inserted correctly?
• Use a better VGA cable or a shorter VGA cable, between both the TV-Box
and the computer and between the TV-Box and the monitor.
• Set the output level to "1Vss", see chapter 10. e).
• Check the correct terminal assignment of the three component cables.
