6. Battery and accumulator instructions
• Batteries/accumulators should not be handled by children.
• Observe the correct polarity when inserting the batteries/accumulators into the
remote control.
• Do not leave the batteries/accumulators lying around for the risk that they could be
swallowed by children or domestic pets. Find a doctor immediately if one is swal-
lowed.
• Leaking or damaged batteries/accumulators can cause alkali burning if they come
into contact with the skin. Use suitable protective gloves when handling.
• Make sure that batteries/accumulators are not shorted or thrown into the fire.
There is the risk of an explosion!
• Never take the battery apart!
• Normal batteries/accumulators may not be charged. There is the risk of an explo-
sion!
• If not used for a longer period of time (e.g. when in storage), remove the batter-
ies/accumulators inserted in the remote control to prevent damage through leak-
ing batteries.
• Do not mix empty, half-full or full batteries/accumulators with each other. Always
replace the whole set of batteries/accumulators.
• Always use two batteires/accumulators of the same type & manufacturer; do not
mix different batteries/accumulators with one another.
• Never mix batteries with accumulators!
It is possible to use accumulators in the remote control.
Due to the lower capacity and the lower voltage of accumulators (battery
= 1.5V, accumuilator = 1.2V), the service life of the remote control is
shorter and thus possibly has a negative effect on the range of the IR.
More frequent replacement of the accumulators may therefore be nec-
essary.
If you have problems using accumulators in the remote control, use tra-
ditinal batteries (preferably alkaline).

a) Allgemein
Entsorgen Sie das unbrauchbar gewordene Produkt gemäß den geltenden gesetzli-
chen Vorschriften.
b) Batterie-/Akku-Entsorgung
Sie als Endverbraucher sind gesetzlich (Batterieverordnung) zur Rückgabe aller
gebrauchten Batterien und Akkus verpflichtet; eine Entsorgung über den Hausmüll
ist untersagt!
Schadstoffhaltige Batterien/Akkus sind mit den links stehenden Müll-
tonnen-Symbolen gekennzeichnet, die auf das Verbot der Entsorgung
über den Hausmüll hinweisen.
Die Bezeichnungen für das ausschlaggebende Schwermetall sind:
Cd=Cadmium, Hg=Quecksilber, Pb=Blei.
Die Bezeichnung steht auf der Batterie/Akku z.B. unter dem jeweiligen
Mülltonnen-Symbol.
Ihre verbrauchten Batterien/Akkus können Sie unentgeltlich bei den
Sammelstellen Ihrer Gemeinde, unseren Filialen oder überall dort
abgeben, wo Batterien/Akkus verkauft werden!
Sie erfüllen damit die gesetzlichen Verpflichtungen und leisten Ihren Beitrag
zum Umweltschutz.
