The installation of the sensor on the gas meter is effected without interven-
tion in the gas system by attaching it with removable double-sided adhesive
tape.

As the gas meter dial does not run at the same speed all the
time, it is possible that number changes of the meter drum
cannot be registered at very small rotational speed.
For this reason, the realizable meter change identification rate
does not amount to one hundred per cent.
Thus, the rate of identification with different gas meter dials depends, in
practice, on gas consumption. If the consumption is high, the recognition
rate increases; if the consumption is very low, the meter change identifica-
tion rate will decrease accordingly.
In addition, note that the sensor barrier in the software debounces in order
to prevent faulty counting.
When testing the sensor barrier take into consideration that the sensor
must rest for a short time after a pulse output before recognizing the
following impulse.

