Failure to observe care instructions
Risk of pressure sores due to incorrect skin care
► All seat cushions were developed by the manufacturer to reduce pressure on the buttocks. A
seat cushion alone, however, cannot eliminate sitting pressure or possible pressure sores
entirely.
► When using the seat cushion, always pay attention to correct skin care – especially through
a healthy diet, hygiene and regular pressure relief.
WARNING
Improper handling of ignition sources
Risk of severe burns due to seat cushions, padding and upholstery catching on fire
► The seat cushions, padding and upholstery are not highly flammable, but can catch fire.
Therefore the utmost caution must be exercised in the vicinity of an open flame.
► Keep away from all ignition sources, especially lit cigarettes.
NOTICE
Improper use
Risk of damage to the cushion surface due to user error
► Do not allow the wheelchair cushion to come into contact with sharp objects. This also
applies to animals such as pet cats with sharp claws.
► Do not expose the wheelchair cushion to excessive heat or open flame.
► If the wheelchair cushion is expected to come into contact with liquid, such as spilt drinks or
episodes of incontinence, always use it in conjunction with a liquid-repellent cover.
► Only use the official Ottobock incontinence barriers for this product. These barriers have
been optimised for maximum pressure redistribution in the wheelchair cushion. Contact your
therapist or specialist dealer to obtain a spare Ottobock cover.
4 Delivery

4.1 Scope of Delivery

The seat cushion is delivered ready for use. The scope of delivery includes:

5 Use
5.1 Positioning
Correct positioning of the seat cushion in the wheelchair must be maintained for daily use:
• The label that says 'REAR' must be facing the back.
• The hook-and-loop strap sewn to the seat cushion serves to secure it in the wheelchair.
5.2 Installation/Removal
Removal
The foam base and foam insert may have to be removed from the cover for cleaning:
