 Open the safety screw.
 Unscrew the union nuts.
 Mount the power nozzle (with two flat
connection) and the round jet nozzle on
the exchange nozzle. Tighten the cov-
ering nuts fingertight.
 Slightly tighten the safety screw.
 Connect the high pressure hose to the
high pressure connection point of the
machine.

Power supply

– For connection values refer to technical
specifications.
– The electrical connections must be
done by an electrician according to IEC
60364-1.
– The machine is equipped as standard
with an Ex plug. If the existing socket
does not match this plug, it must be ad-
justed accordingly by a technician.
WARNING
The highest allowed net impedance at the
electrical connection point (refer to techni-
cal data) is not to be exceeded.
In case of any uncertainty regarding the
present net impedance at your connection
point, please contact your local power sup-
ply company.
DANGER
– Check whether the voltage indicated on
the type plate corresponds to the volt-
age of the socket.
– Unsuitable electrical extension cables
can be hazardous. Only use electrical
extension cables outdoors which have
been approved and labelled for this pur-
pose and have an adequate cable
cross-section.

Water connection

WARNING
Observe regulations of water supplier.
For connection values, see type plate/tech-
nical data.
 Use a conductive (electrostatically)
hose (resistance R < 10
cluded). Minimum diameter, 3/4 inch.
 Connect the hose to the water connec-
tion of the appliance.
 Connect the hose to the water tap.
ATTENTION
Never operate the high pressure cleaner
when the tap is closed because dry running
can damage the high pressure pump.
DANGER
Risk of injury!
– Use Kärcher products only.
– Under no circumstances fill solvents
(petrol, aceton, diluting agent etc.)
– Avoid eye and skin contact.
– Observe safety and handling instruc-
tions by the detergent manufacturer.
– Follow the safety instructions for using
detergents.
– For considerate treatment of the envi-
ronment use detergent economically.
– The detergent must be suitable for the
surface to be cleaned.
Recommended detergents:
– RM 31 ASF
– RM 55 ASF
– RM 81 ASF
 Insert the detergent suction hose into
an external detergent container.
 Fill/replace empty detergent container.
Deaerating the appliance
 Remove exchange nozzle.
 Switch on the appliance and let it run
until the water exiting from the spray
pipe is bubble-free.
 Switch off the appliance and fit the noz-
zle again.
