class II and features a protective insulation.
For reasons of safety and approval (CE) the
personal reconstruction and/or modification
of this product is prohibited. Please obser-
ve that damage caused by modifications
performed manually to this device is not co-
vered by the warranty.
This product leaves the works in perfect con-
dition. Please observe all notes in these ope-
rating instructions to warrant this condition
and the safe operation of the product!

operation

This Scanic lighting effect can be used in stand
alone as well as in DMX mode. In stand alone
mode there are several operational modes at
your disposal (music-controlled mode, auto-
matic colour changing). Via a DMX controller
several devices can be operated individually.
In order to control several LED Derby DMX
devices at the same time, the devices have
to be connected via a customary 3-pin DMX
cable (XLR).
Conenct the output of the first device to the
input of the second device, the output of the
second device to the input of the third de-
vice, etc.
NOTE!
In a DMX chain, the DMX cable of the last
device should be closed with a load resistor.
To do so, connect an XLR plug to the DMX
output of the last device. A resistor with 120
ohms should be soldered between the -sig-
nal and the +signal.
Any damage caused as a result of the non-compliance with these operating instructions
leads to the expiration of any warranty claim. The manufacturer does not accept liability for
any damage to property or for personal injury resulting from the improper handling of the
product, or non-observance of the operating instructions.
Store these operating instructions in a safe place for later reference and pass them to any
new holder when selling or lending or leaving this device in the hands of any other party.

This product is a lighting effect that features LED diodes to generate special effects. The
device can be operated with a DMX 512 controller, as stand-alone or in master/slave mode.
This product is designed for 220 V, 50 Hz A/C operation and exclusively for indoor use.
If used for any purpose other than described in these operating instructions, the device may
suffer damage and the warranty expires. Also, any other use is linked with risks such as short
circuits, fire, electrical shock, etc.
The manufacturer's serial number must never be removed as otherwise the warranty expires.
dIp switches operation
1. DMX Addressing
Via a DMX controller single devices in a
DMX chain can be controlled individually.
The DMX starting address can be adjusted
with help of the DIP Switches. The starting
address is the first channel that the device
reacts to signals of the controller.

Each DIP switch stands for a DMX value as
can be seen in the chart above. For example
DIP switch 5 stands for the DMX address 16.
If you want to address the LED Derby DMX
to DMX address 20, please add the values
of the DMX value row in order to obtain 20.
Example: 20 = 16 + 4 > DIP Switch 5 + DIP
Switch 3.
This way the LED Derby DMX is addressed
to address 20.
