• The effect light can be set up or installed with the enclosed mounting bracket.
• If you do not want to use the device standing but mount it on a suitable traverse system, attach the effect
light with the included mounting bracket and a suitable traverse clamp that is available separately.
• For this, use the mounting bracket to install the two screws at the bottom plate and attach the effect light
to the traverse system with a suitable traverse clamp. Use only assembly material suitable for the type of
assembly and for bearing the effect light load.
• The assembly must never swing freely.
• Additionally secure the installation with a suitable safety restraint cable or a safety net. The safety reten-
tion rope or the net must be designed to support the effect light in the event of failure of the main support
system independently of the main attachment.
• Make sure that the projector head of the effect light beamer can move freely; it may not hit onto anything
or be blocked.
9. DMX Connection
You can operate a maximum of 32 devices in a DMX chain without overloading the controller.
The maximum total length of the DMX chain should not exceed 500 m.
Use of XLR microphone cables may cause interferences in the DMX signal transmission. In this
case, please use special DMX high-frequency cables.
a) Connection of a DMX Controller
Only connect the device to a DMX controller with a DMX-512 protocol.
• Connect the port DMX IN with the output of the DMX controller.
• The controller must have up to 9 or 11 free control channels depending on the operating mode.
• Connect DMX OUT with the DMX input of the subsequent device.
• Proceed accordingly with all other devices of the DMX chain.
• If the effect light is the last or the only device in the DMX chain, insert an XLR plug with a 120 ohm/0.25 W
terminating resistor into the DMX OUT socket (between Pin2 and Pin3).
