7.5.1.4 ROI (Region of Interest)

The ROI (Region of Interest) function can transmit particularly interesting image areas in higher
quality, with the rest of the image being transmitted in a lower quality. This makes it possible to
save bandwidth. This can achieve a particularly striking effect if the video stream is set to a low
quality.

You can use this to draw polygonal areas. The drawing mode is closed
by clicking this button again. This area is then transmitted at higher
quality.
You can use this to delete areas.
Select the video stream for ROI configuration. The configurations are
independent.
Fixed areas are used if the area that is of interest can be predicted
and does not change. Dynamic areas are linked to specific image
analysis functions (e.g. face detection) and are not pre-defined in
the image.
Max. number of areas: 4
The higher the level, the higher quality of the ROI area is.
Assign a name to an area here.
The ROI area is linked to detected face areas.
