6.7 Justage Transferbandspar-
mechanismus
Hermes ist mit einer Transferbandsparautomatik ausgerü-
stet. Diese erlaubt es, den Transferbandtransport definiert zu
unterbinden, wenn sich auf dem Etikett größere Bereiche
befinden, auf die keine Druckinhalte aufzubringen sind.
Die Sparfunktion wird über zwei Mechanismen realisiert:
1. Eine Magnetbremse am Transferbandaufwickler, die die
Drehung des Aufwicklers unterbricht.
2. Einen Exzentermechanismus, der über einen separaten
Schrittmotor angetrieben wird und den Druckkopf von
der Druckwalze abhebt. Durch das Abheben des
Kopfes werden Etiketten und Transferband voneinan-
der getrennt und der Transferbandtransport unter-
brochen. Das Abheben des Kopfes wird auch beim
Rücktransport der Etiketten nach einem Spendevor-
gang ausgeführt.
Eine fehlerhafte Justage des Exzentermechanismus kann
zu folgenden Fehlerbildern führen:
Ÿ mangelnde Druckbildschwärzung durch fehlenden
Andruck (Kopf ist während des Druckens leicht
angehoben).
Ÿ Transferband bildet vor dem Druckkopf eine Schlaufe
(Kopf ist während des Sparens nicht genug abgeho-
ben, Transferband wird am Kopf noch transportiert,
aber nicht aufgewickelt).
Grobjustage der Taktscheibe bei Montage:

Lebensgefahr durch Strom-
schlag! Netzstecker ziehen!
Die Taktscheibe ist nicht symmetrisch! Die Montage muss
in der richtiger Lage erfolgen!
1. Deckel demontieren.
2. Exzenterachse (7, Bild 27) mit einem Schraubendreher in
Grundstellung bringen. Der Druckkopf ist in dieser
Stellung unten !
3. Die Aufnahme (1) für die Taktscheibe (3) muss auf der
Motorwelle so justiert werden, dass
- der Gewindestift (2) zur Befestigung der Aufnahme
nach links oben zeigt,
- sich die Taktscheibe (3) mittig in der Öffnung der
Gabellichtschranke (10) drehen kann.
4. Die Einstellöffnungen (5) für die Feinjustage sind in
Bezug auf die Schaltflanken (4) unsymmetrisch auf der
Taktscheibe angeordnet. Die Taktscheibe ist richtig
montiert, wenn der Anfang der oberen Einstellöffnung
(5) an der oberen Schaltflanke (4) steht und dabei die
Aussparung (6) der Taktscheibe nach links zeigt.

mechanism
Hermes is equipped with a transfer ribbon saver. This way it
is possible to stop the transfer ribbon transport defined,
when there are larger areas without print information on the
label.
The saver function is realized by two mechanisms:
1. A magnetic brake at the transfer ribbon take up hub
interrupts the rotation of the hub.
2. A cam mechanism driven by a separate stepper motor
lifts the printhead from the print roller. When lifting the
printhead the labels and the transfer ribbon are
separated and the transfer ribbon transport is inter-
rupted. The lifting of the printhead is also carried out
during the backfeed of the labels after the dispense
process.
A misaligned system can cause several errors as follows:
Ÿ print image is too light because of missing pressure
(printhead is lifted light while printing)
Ÿ transfer ribbon forms a loop in front of the printhead
(printhead is not enough lifted while saving,
transfer ribbon is transported at the printhaed but not
rewound).
Rough aligning of the clock wheel while mounting:

Mortal danger by electric shock!
Unplug power cord!
The clock wheel is not symmetric! The mounting has to
carry out in the correct position!
1. Dismantle the cover.
2. Turn the cam axle (7, Fig 27) into the standard position.
Use a screw driver. In this position the printhead is in
its lower position!
3. The clock wheel plate (1) has to be adjusted at the shaft
of the motor so that
- the pin (2) to fasten the clock wheel plate points to
the left above,
- the clock wheel (3) can be rotated centrically in the
slot of the ribbon sensor (10).
4. The adjustment holes (5) are arranged at the clock
wheel not symmetric referring to the flanks (4).
The clock wheel is mounted correct if the begin of the
upper adjustment hole (5) is positioned at the upper
flank and as well the slot (6) of the clock wheel points
to the left.
