Installing the Adaptor II software
PC minimum requirements
— Pentium PC 350 MHz
— 64 MB working memory
— 1 GB free fixed-disk storage
— Operating system: Microsoft Windows 9x,
Windows NT, Windows 2000 or Windows XP
— VGA color monitor
— CD drive
— USB interface
Installing the software
The operation of the Adaptor II software requires knowl-
edge in the handling of a PC with MS Windows.
Insert the CD into the CD drive.
Using the Windows function "Execute" call the file
"Setup.exe" in the directory "Disk1" on the CD.
Successively follow all steps of the installation instruc-
tions. The installation procedure can be effected
optionally either in English or German. The Adaptor II
software is stored locally: default "c:\Programs\Adaptor
II".
The prompt then appears whether the device data, which
is contained in the Adaptor II software, should be stored
locally or in the network. If "local operation" is selected,
the default is "c:\Device data". If "Network operation" is
selected, the path must be specified that refers to the joint
directory of the device data in the network.
For the path of the joint control files, in the case of an
existing Drägerware MGT, the entry from "Global Net
Path" must be used from the menu (within Drägerware
MGT) "Parameters/System Parameters/System Paths".
Without Drägerware MGT, the path for the control data is
identical with the path of the device data.
If, in the case of network operation, two or more Dräger
test devices of the same type have been set up, these
use the existing device data jointly. This means that test
tolerances for each respiratory equipment unit exist only
once.
