Operation

Important!
Observe the safety instructions! Inappropriate handling of lasers is dangerous!
a) Using a tripod
The line laser can be screwed onto a suitable tripod (thread type 6.35 mm or 1/4 „) using the
tripod socket (5) located at the bottom.
When placing your tripod, always ensure that it is secure and that no one can trip
over the legs.
b) Using the automatic levelling system
This operating mode can be used to project horizontal and/or vertical lines on a wall,
for example, to correctly lay tiles in a washroom.
• Place the line laser on a horizontal and stable surface or mount it on a tripod. Align the line
laser correctly.
• Move the sliding switch
(6) to the „
• By pressing the button
(1) for a short while the line laser is turned on and the horizontal
laser line is activated. By pressing the button several times
laser functions:
- horizontal laser line
- vertical laser line
- horizontal and vertical laser line
• When the laser line is within the self-levelling horizontal range of ±4°, both laser lines will
be activated. The integrated system will automatically align the laser lines within the self-
levelling range either horizontally or vertically.
The levelling process is finished when the laser lines no longer move. You can now, for ex-
ample, mark a horizontal and/or a vertical line on the wall in order to lay tiles, etc.
• The laser line flashes rapidly (approximately 5x per second) outside the self-levelling range.
This indicates that the laser line is not aligned horizontally/vertically.
Place the line laser correctly so that it is within the self-levelling range of ± 4° horizontally.
• To switch off, press and hold the button
c) Operation without the automatic levelling system
This can be used for example to project a diagonal line on the wall in order to mark
the positions of several pictures on the wall.
You can hold the line laser in the hand or use an appropriate tripod to fix the line
laser in a diagonally inclined position.
Without automatic levelling, the laser lines are not aligned horizontally or vertically.
While this mode is active, the laser line will flash once every 3 seconds.
• Move the sliding switch
(6) to the „
• By pressing the button
(1) for a short while the line laser is turned on and the top 360°
laser is activated. By pressing the button several times
laser functions:
• To switch off, press and hold the button
Important!
When the automatic levelling system is switched off, the line lasers do not mark any
horizontal or vertical line because the mechanics inside the line laser cannot move
freely and align itself!
If horizontal or vertical lines are marked, always use the automatic levelling system!
d) Storage/transport
If the line laser is no longer needed (during storage or during transport), move the slide switch
(6) to the „
" position. This will block the mechanics of the automatic levelling system
inside the line laser and protect it against damage.
When not in use for an extended time, remove the batteries to protect the product
from damage caused by leaking, old batteries.

Maintenance and cleaning

The product is maintenance-free for you; you should never dismantle it (except for inserting or
replacing the batteries as described in these operating instructions). Servicing or repair may
only be carried out by a specialist.
Turn off the product before cleaning so that the laser lines do not light up.
Use a clean, dry, soft cloth for cleaning. Do not use aggressive cleaning agents as these can
cause discolouration. To prevent scratch marks, do not press too strongly on the surface when
cleaning.
Dust can easily be removed using a clean, long-haired brush and a vacuum cleaner.
Disposal
a) Product
Electronic devices are recyclable and do not belong in the household waste. Dispo-
se of an unserviceable product in accordance with the relevant statutory regulations.
Remove any inserted batteries/rechargeable batteries and dispose of them separa-
tely from the product.
b) Primary batteries and secondary batteries
As an end user, you are required by law (battery ordinance) to return all used batteries and
rechargeable batteries; it is not permitted to dispose of batteries with normal household waste.
Batteries/rechargeable batteries containing hazardous substances are labelled with
these symbols to indicate that the disposal of them in the household waste is for-
bidden. The designations for the heavy metals involved are: Cd = cadmium, Hg =
mercury, Pb = lead.
Used batteries, rechargeable batteries and coin cells can be returned to collection points in
your municipality, our stores or wherever batteries/rechargeable batteries/coin cells are sold.
That way you fulfil your statutory duties and contribute to the protection of the environment!
