Wear ear-muffs.
The impact of noise can cause damage to hearing.
Keep the noise emissions and vibrations to a
minimum.
Only use appliances which are in perfect working
n
order.
Service and clean the appliance regularly.
n
Adapt your working style to suit the appliance.
n
Do not overload the appliance.
n
Have the appliance serviced whenever
n
necessary.
Switch the appliance off when it is not in use.
n
The quoted values are emission values and not
necessarily reliable workplace values. Although there
is a correlation between emission and immission
levels it is impossible to draw any certain conclusions
as to the need for additional precautions. Factors
with a potential influence on the actual immission
level at the workplace include the duration of impact,
the type of room, and other sources of noise etc.,
e.g. the number of machines and other neighboring
operations. Reliable workplace values may also vary
from country to country. With this information the
user should at least be able to make a better
assessment of the dangers and risks involved.

6. Before starting the machine
(Fig. 1-6)
Do not start the machine until you have made
n
yourself familiar with these operating
instructions and all the safety instructions. If
you have no experience in handling these
machines, you should obtain assistance from
an experienced person.
Unpack the saw and check it for damage which
n
may have occurred in transit.
The machine may only be used outdoors. The
n
machine must be placed on a horizontal, even
base and be firmly anchored to the ground using
the mounting holes (13) in the machine foot. The
ground around the machine must be clear of
waste, slippery areas and stumbling blocks.
All covers and safety equipment must be properly
n
installed and the saw blade must run freely.
Check the entire machine and al cables for any
n
signs of transport damage.
Check that the saw blade is secured, not dirty,
n
undamaged and sharp. Sharpen or replace blunt
saw blades.
Check that all the screw connections are tight.
n
Check the splitter inserts (18) for signs of wear
n
and replace them if necessary.
The feed cradle (6) must be returned to its original
n
position automatically by the spring (10).
Check the machine for any foreign bodies that
n
may be catapulted out of it.
The power source must be protected by an RCCB
n
400 V 3 ~ 50 Hz
with a fault current of 30 mA.
4500 W S6 20%
Check that the voltage on the rating plate is the
n
IP 54
same as your supply voltage before you connect
1440 rpm
the machine to the power supply.
Important: It is essential that you check the
n
Ø 700 x Ø 30 mm
direction in which the motor (1) turns. To do this,
64
switch the motor on and off briefly. The saw blade
270 mm
must turn clockwise when viewed from the left-
25 mm
hand side (see directional arrow on the saw
blade). If this is not the case the direction of
1000 mm
rotation must be corrected using the phase
300 mm
converter on the connection plug. To do this, turn
83 kg
the phase converter (15) in the connection plug
through 180° using a screwdriver. (see Fig. 4)
Caution! It is essential that other persons
n
remain a safe distance from the saw whilst it is
operating.
Do not attempt to saw more than one piece of
n
wood or bundles of wood at the same time – this
poses a serious risk of injury. Place bent pieces of
wood in the feed carried so that the side that is
bent outwards faces the saw blade.
The feed carriage (6) for the wood is fitted with
n
