Dismount the function module only if it is absolutely necessary (e.g. when the controller is replaced).
The pinstripwhichisusedtoconnect the functionmodule ispart of the contact systemof the controller.
It has not been designed for repeated connection and disconnection of the function module.
Danger!
The pins of the FIF interface carry dangerous voltage!

The function module can be damagedwhen beingdismounted. Therefore observe the follo-
wing:

Dismount the function module only when the controller is disconnected from the
mains.
After disconnection from the mains wait for at least 3 minutes before you start
working on the module.
The screw driver must only be inserted into the hole at the top of the function
module (see figure, next page). The screw driver must not be inserted more than 5
mm.
Never use the screw driver with any other holes of the function module!

Disassembly

1. Disconnect the controller
from the mains and wait for
at least 3 minutes!
2. Insert the screw driver max.
5 mm into the hole at the top
of the function module.
3. Press the screw driver up to
unlatch the function module.
Press until you hear a snap
noise.
4. Cautiously remove the function
module from the controller
using the screw driver.
