Performing a Firmware Update via USB Stick (only COMfortel
3600 IP)
Note: Up-to-date firmware files are available on the internet (see
www.auerswald.de/service).
The operation guide of the telephone also describe further variants of the
firmware update.
Requirements
– The firmware file (*.rom) which is saved on a USB stick
Steps to Take
1.
Insert the USB memory stick in the jack labelled with
side of the telephone.
2.
Subsequently, tap on the elements All apps > Settings > Update & Pro-
visioning.
3.
Tap on Update.
4.
Press the Back key.
5.
Tap on Shutdown/Reboot > Reboot.
Further Steps
– If the description of the new function is missing after the installation of func-
tional extensions by means of a firmware update, you will find current
instruction manuals on the Internet (see www.auerswald.de/service).
– In order to use the new features after a firmware update of the telephone,
an update of the PBX firmware is often necessary (see PBX operation
guide).

If the telephone can find an appropriate firmware file on the USB mem-
ory stick, this file will be displayed under Update from USB stick.
The firmware file is loaded onto the telephone.
The new firmware is activated following the immediate reboot of the
telephone.
