Pull the safety filter sack over the con-
tainer.
Insert and lock the suction head.

Release and remove the suction head.
Clean the electrodes with a brush.

Replacing the supply air filter

Insert 2 flat-tip screwdrivers up to the
stop in the filter casing openings on the
suction head.
Push both flat-tip screwdrivers down
and lever out the filter casing.
Remove the filter casing.
Remove the supply air filter from the fil-
ter casing.
Install new supply air filter into the filter
casing.
Insert filter casing in the suction head
and snap in place.
Troubleshooting
Danger
First pull out the plug from the mains before
carrying out any tasks on the machine.
Warning
All checking and work on electrical parts
must be performed by an authorized elec-
trician. In the event of continuing faults,
contact Kärcher customer service.
Note: In case of a failure (e.g. filter break-
age) the appliance must be turned off im-
mediately. The failure must be remedied
before the appliance is put into operation
again.
Suction turbine does not run
Check the receptacle and the fuse of
the power supply.
Check the power cable, the power plug
and electrodes of the device.
Turn on the appliance.
Suction turbine turns off
Empty the container.
Suction turbine does not start again
after the container has been
Turn off the appliance and wait for 5
seconds, turn it on again after 5 sec-
onds.
Clean the electrodes as well as the
space between the electrodes with a

Suction capacity decreases
Remove blockages in the suction noz-
zle, suction tube, suction hose, or flat
pleated filter.
Replace the safety filter sack.
Ensure the filter cover properly locks
into place.
Replace the flat pleated filter.
Thermal protection device has switched
–
the motor into the emergency mode due
to overheating.
Allow appliance to cool down. Replace
the supply air filter.
Dust comes out while vacuuming
Check for proper installation of the flat
pleated filter.
Replace the flat pleated filter.
Automatic shut-off (wet vacuum
cleaning) does not react
Clean the electrodes as well as the
space between the electrodes with a
brush.
Continuously check the filling level in
case of non-conductive liquid.
Indicator lamp "negative pressure"
Replace the flat pleated filter.
The safety filter sack must be replaced
when it is full and the minimum volume
flow is fallen short of.
