24 General Power Tool Safety Warnings
g) Use the power tool, accessories, tool bits etc. in
accordance with these instructions, taking into account the
working conditions and the work to be performed. Use of
the power tool for operations different from those intended
could result in a hazardous situation.
h) Keep handles and grip surfaces dry, clean and free from
oil and grease. Slippery handles and grip surfaces doe not
allow proper operation and control of the power tool in
unforeseen situations.

24.6 Battery tool use and care

a) Recharge the batteries only with chargers specified by the
manufacturer. A charger that is suitable for one type of
battery pack may create a risk of fire when used with
another battery pack.
b) Use power tools only with specifically designated battery
packs. Use of any other battery packs may create a risk of
injury and fire.
c)
When battery pack is not in use, keep it away from other
metal objects, like paper clips, coins, keys, nails, screws or
other small objects that could make a connection from one
terminal to another. Shorting the battery terminals together
may cause burns or a fire.
d) Misuse may cause liquid to escape from the battery. Avoid
contact with the liquid. If contact accidentally occurs, flush
with water. If liquid contacts eyes, additionally seek
medical help. Liquid ejected from the battery may cause
irritation or burns.
e) Never use a damaged or modified battery. Damaged or
modified batteries can react unpredictably and result in a
fire, explosion or injury.
f)
Never expose a battery to fire or very high temperatures.
Fire or temperatures above 130°C (265°F) can cause an
explosion.
g) Follow all charging instructions and never charge the
battery or the battery operated power tool outside the
temperature range specified in the instruction manual.
MSA 120 C
Incorrect charging or charging outside the permissible
temperature range can destroy the battery and increase
the fire risk.

24.7 Service

a) Have your electric power tool serviced by a qualified repair
person using only original replacement parts. This will
ensure that the safety of the power tool is maintained.
b) Never service damaged batteries. All servicing or batteries
should be carried out exclusively by the manufacturer or
authorised service centres.

24.8 Chain saw safety warnings

Keep all parts of the body away from the saw chain when
the chain saw is operating, make sure the saw chain is not
contacting anything. A moment of inattention while
operating chain saws may cause entanglement of your
clothing or body with the chain saw.
Always hold the chain saw with your right hand on the rear
handle and your left hand on the front handle. Holding the
chain saw the other way round increases the risk of injury
and may not be used.
Hold your electric power tool only by the insulated grip
surfaces because the saw chain may contact hidden
electrical wires. Saw chains which touch a live wire make
metallic parts of an electric power tool live and could give
the user an electric shock.
Wear safety glasses and hearing protection. Further
protective equipment for head, hands, legs and feet is
recommended. Suitable protective clothing helps reduce
the risk of injury from thrown wood chips and accidental
contact with the saw chain.
Do not operate a chain saw in a tree. There is an increased
risk of injury when working in a tree.
