Transport and storage

3.1

Transport

The fireplace insert only can be transported in vertical position, in the original packing and
it must be properly ensured against the movement and fall. The removal must be done in a
closed space in order to prevent damage by weather conditions. When you handle the
fireplace insert you must keep it in the vertical position, you must not tilt the insert in order
to prevent its damage. The insert must be grasped at the lower metallic parts and then
transferred.
After you have received the transported fireplace inserts please check that their
packing incl. the content is undamaged and entire.
3.2

Storage

The fireplace insert must be stored in a dry and air-conditioned space. It must be stored
and handled in the vertical position. Be mindful of an increased care when handling the
fireplace insert.

Positioning and installation

4.1

General instructions for positioning and installation

Unconditionally every fireplace insert must be positioned and installed in the way
complying with the local regulations or national and European standards as amended and
also with instructions listed in this service manual.
The fireplace inserts are designed for installation in a dry environment that is
characterized by the valid standard as the "non-aggressive environment free of any
explosive and flammable gases".
Before the fireplace inserts installation the chimney to which the fireplace insert has to
be connected must be revised and the flue way design that must guarantee a safe flue
gases exhaust from the connected fireplace insert must be reviewed and revised too. Only
one appliance can be connected to the flue-gas way.
A sufficient access to clean the appliance, flue gas ducting and chimney must be
ensured during the installation.
In the interior where the fireplace insert is installed there must not be installed any
equipment for air exhaust (e.g. a digester) that can induce a reverse draught thus the
escape of flue gases into the room. Only the pressurized air conditioning system is
permitted.
4.2

Rules for positioning

The appliance must be installed on a solid sub-base of an adequate bearing capacity. A
concrete or other solid non-flammable slab is the best variant. If the existing arrangement
does not meet this essential condition it is necessary to take adequate measures so that
this requirement is met.
In case of installation on the floor made of a flammable material the appliance must be
put on an insulating pad made of a fire-resistant material overlapping the ground area of
