NOVA ARGON Technical Description:
The concept behind the new NOVA ARGON demonstrates a wing with a
perfect combination of maximum performance, uncritical Extreme Flying
Maneuvers and maximum fun.
The basic form of the NOVA ARGON is a slim, elliptical, slightly rearward
swept wing.
Buildup of canopy:
- 17 "quadruple" with 2 diagonal ribs each and one unsuspended middle
rib
- 4 triple cells with 2 diagonal ribs each and 2 unsuspended middle ribs
- 22 suspended profiles
- 3 additional cells on each side form a clean wing tip
This ensures a smooth top surface, exact airfoil reproduction, and yet
most importantly, very few suspension points.
Because of its large cell widths and few suspension points, the NOVA
ARGON has very few lines and thus associated parasitic drag, which,
especially at high speed, gives it an excellent glide angle.
The new wing tips ensure stable, straight flight and coordinated turns.
The profile of the NOVA ARGON is computer calculated and selected
from many variations. The best profile was selected. It excels with very
high stability and amazingly high performance.
The NOVA ARGON presents a closed leading edge to the airflow.
Internal Dacron reinforcements maintain its precise form and provides
stability. The cell openings on the undersurface of the profile's nose
provide airflow into the glider. Stretch resistant Dacron flares, integrated
with diagonal ribs at the suspension points, ensure an even distribution
of load throughout the canopy.
Large cross port vents allow effective airflow inside the canopy, providing
good reinflation without reducing the profile accuracy.
Rigging system of the NOVA ARGON:
The lines of the NOVA ARGON are made of strong and stretch resistant
Polyester/ Polyethylene lines.
