Requirements for the installation

Ensure that existing piping (connections and lines) has been checked for leaks.

Ensure that flexible connection lines are not twisted and not kinked.
X
Ensure that existing piping is sufficiently insulated.
X
Ensure that safety valve outlets are connected.
X
Install filling taps in heating line and solar line.
X
Flush pipes.
X
Provide possibilities for bleeding outside the station.

Risk of injury and damage to stratified charging module from steam hammer!
High temperatures may cause steam formation.
Install stratified charging module only when system is cool.

Install steam hammer arrestor on-site in accordance with manufacturer specifications.

Damage to connections due to excess tension during installation!
Install connection lines tension-free on stratified charging module.

Hold fitting steady when tightening.
X

The stratified charging modules are delivered from the factory with 10 bar safety valves. Depen-
ding on the application, a matching external safety valve should be used on-site
to protect external system components.
notE!
Increased lime deposits are possible, depending on the water composition and operating conditions.
Take into account corrosion protection and mineral deposits in accordance with DIN 1988-7 and have
a tap water analysis
(in accordance with DIN 50930 Part 6) conducted.
notE!
Corrective action (e.g. in-line upstream cooling vessels, stagnation coolers etc.) should be taken
on site to prevent temperature peaks of over 65º in the solar circuit from reaching the stratified
charging module. This prevents excessive lime-scale deposition. In certain cases the heat
exchanger should be regularly flushed out and cleaned

A safety valve is installed on the secondary side for self protection of the system.
Install suitable blowout line.

Design blowout line so that no pressure increase is possible when the safety valve responds.

Affix a sign with the following wording to the blowout line: Water may escape from the blowout

line for security reasons during operation! Do not close!
Connect on-site diaphragm expansion tank and provide possibility for bleeding.

Check on-site diaphragm expansion tank and blowout line for proper operation.
