Using the hose with the body removed
CAUTION: Always switch off the appliance before you attach or remove accessories.
If you wish to vacuum clean steps using the hose, always remove the body to do so (see below). Do
not set the upright vacuum cleaner down on steps or furniture.
It has a high centre of gravity and can topple over easily.
Release the hose from the
hose inlet on the side of
the appliance.
Fit an attachment of your
choice to the extension
tube.
Switch on the appliance
using the On/Off button.
Release the extension
tube.
Release the body and
remove it.
If you have increased the
range as described above,
it is recommendable to use
the boost function.
Vacuum cleaning
Connect the hose and
the extension tube.
Put the appliance console safely aside
whilst you do not need it. Hold the
appliance by the carrying handle on top
of the body at all times when vacuum
cleaning.
Attach the body at the bottom first and
pivot it firmly back into its console so
that you hear and feel it click into place.
Then fit the hose and extension tube too.
