Installation Instructions

Control cable

The central vacuum unit is turned on and off by
means of a control cable (installed parallel to the pipe
guide). The suction socket control cable is linked to
the central vacuum unit by means of a parallel switch.
- Allow approx. 20 cm of the control cable to protru-
de from the suction socket installation site.
- Connect the control cable to the suction socket. At
branches, attach to commercially available screw
terminals and wrap a length of insulating tape
around the cable.
- Attach the control cable with at least 2 cable ties or
tape for every meter of pipe.
At 24 V, the control voltage lies in the low voltage
range. This allows the control cable to be selfinstalled,
although REHAU nonetheless recommends consulting
a specialist.
