4. Repair of Defects

Defect: Desoldering iron does not heat.
Trouble Shooting: Disconnect iron from power supply and check with ohmmeter at
the plug.
Pin
1.-2. Heater DS 80 = 6,2 ohm / DS 22 = 10,5 ohm
3.-4. Sensor 22 ohm
5. Potential balance zero ohm against tip ground
6.-1. Fingerswitch - operated zero ohm
7. Encoder pin for 80 Watt tools
If sensor or heater are interrupted remove cap of fingerswitch, detach 3 flange scr-
ews and pull out the heating element.
Check sensor and heater at the terminal once more. If there is any interruption repla-
ce heating element.
