16. Listening to audio fi les from your computer/
from USB data media
To listen to audio files from your network, select the 'Musicplayer' function in the
main menu and confirm with OK, or press the MODE button repeatedly.
NOTE!
To output audio files from the network via the radio, you must use
media server software in the network ("11.4. Using the WLAN radio as a
media client" on page 72).
ATTENTION!
To avoid damaging the device, do not use a USB
extension cable and do not connect the device directly
to the USB port of a computer.
The USB connection is designed to be used only for
USB memory sticks; it cannot be used to operate other
external storage media, such as external hard drives.
To play back audio files from a USB data medium, connect the USB data medium to
the USB connection.
When you connect a USB data medium, the device automatically switches to music
playback mode and the following query appears:
USB disk attached. Open folder??
Confirm with YES to directly open the content of the USB data medium.
If no audio file is available, the main menu appears after calling up music playback
mode.
