f)
If attaching the drill stand at the workpiece by means of dowels or screws, make sure
that the used anchorage is able to hold the machine during operation securely. If the
workpiece is not resistant or porose the dowel can be removed whereby the drill stand
separates from the workpiece.
g)
When fastening the drill stand on the workpiece by means of vacuum pump make
sure that the surface is smooth, clean and non-porous. Do not mount the drill to
laminated surfaces such as on tiles and coatings of composites. If the surface of the
workpiece is not smooth, flat or sufficiently secured, the vacuum plate can loosen from the
workpiece.
h)
Make sure that the vacuum power is sufficiently safe before drilling. If there is
insufficient vacuum power the vacuum plate can loosen from the workpiece.
i)
Never perform overhead drilling when the machine is attached only by vacuum plate.
In case of loss of the vacuum, the vacuum plate detaches from the workpiece.
j)
Make sure that persons and working area on the opposite site are protected if you
drill through walls and ceilings. The drill bit can overlap the borehole and the drill core
can fall out of the drill bit on the other side.
k)
For overhead drilling always use a water collecting system prescribed by the
manufacturer. Make sure that no water seeps into the tool. The penetration of water
into the power tool increases the risk of electric shock.

P A R T I C U L A R S A F E T Y P R E C A U T I O N S - Please note!
This core drill is only intended for professional use and may only be operated by trained personnel. Proper
use extends only to the drilling of rock, concrete, asphalt and masonry.
For operation, the relevant regulations must be observed.
Power tools must regularly (approx. 6 months) be checked for safety by a specialist.
Vertical drilling (overhead drilling) only with suitable protective equipment (e.g. water collecting device).
After any interruption to your work, only switch the core drilling machine on again, after you made sure that
the drill bit can rotate freely. When drilling through iron reinforcements, use a greater initial pressure and
the next lower gear.
If the drill blocks, do not try to loosen it by switching the machine on and off. Switch the machine off
immediately and try to loosen the drill bit by turning right and left using a suitable wrench. Carefully remove
the machine from the borehole.
Make sure that you do not drill a hidden water pipe or live cable. In case of doubt always check the
drilling area by means of a detector.
It is strictly to pay attention that water does not get into the motor.

I N T E N D E D U S E
DK26/28/32/34 are diamond core drills which are operated only when fixed in a rig KS30 / KS50 (2) (rig-
controlled). This core drill is only intended for professional use and may only be operated by trained
personnel. Proper use extends only to the drilling of rock, concrete masonry and asphalt.
By the addition of water through the diamond drill bit (3) via the ball valve (1a) the drilled material is
flushed away and the tool cooled (wet drilling). The drilling tool, the diamond drill bit (3), is a hollow drill
(tube) which is fitted with soldered-on or welded-on segments impregnated with diamonds.
The machine may not be used for a different purpose or with a different tool.
If necessary, the flushing water is extracted through a water collecting ring (4) by means of an all-purpose
suction unit.
ATTENTION: Avoid wet drilling upwards (overhead drilling). If it is indispensable use
absolutely a perfect, all right and functioning water-collecting ring.
