Using the guard pipe
The guard pipe can be expanded by 130 mm (5.1 in) to the left and
right. Normally, however, it is used at the standard position. Use this
pipe for loading bulky lightweight objects.
Expanding the guard pipe
Loosen the 4 lock bolts at the left and right, pull out the guard pipe
crosswise in accordance with the loaded objects. Then tighten up
the lock bolts securely.
When expanding the guard pipe, expand both at the left and right
sides equally within 130 mm (5.1 in).
Load only lightweight objects on the carrier when the guard pipe is to
be expanded for use.
