Appliances equipped with a remote
control may sometimes produce a
rattling sound during this procedure
(fig. 1.1 ).

Extinguishing the pilot flame

Use button B to switch off the main
burner.

Turn button A to position
Warning!
If, due to any cause, the pilot flame goes out,
wait at least 15 minutes before re-igniting the
pilot flame.
Contact your installer if the hearth switches
off regularly .
5.4
Remote control general
The remote control is solely meant for
adjusting the flame height. It is not possible
to ignite the pilot flame with the remote
control. For igniting the pilot flame please
refer to chapter 3.4
The remote control has a built-in thermostat
that allows adjustment of the ambient
temperature within certain limits, and it is
also fitted with a timer.
The receiver (fig. 1.2) as well as the gas
control unit (fig. 1.3/1.4) can be found
behind the:
control cover, a drawer at the bottom or
behind a frame.

The remote control has 4 buttons.

The LED-light on the receiver will
light up when there is a good
reception, and it will blink when
button B has reached one of its limits.
•
Place the remote control in the wall
bracket when you use the
Thermostat/Timer function
•
Mount the included wall bracket
within 4 metres of the hearth (fig.
2.1/2.2/2.3).

Placing the batteries in the remote
control unit

Remove the lid at the back of the
remote control unit. (fig. 2.1)
•
Place a 9Volt MN1604/6LR61 Alkaline
long life battery.
•
Close the lid.

Placing the batteries in the receiver
•
Take the receiver (fig. 1.2) out of the
gas block support.

Remove the lid of the receiver.

After replacement of the batteries in the
handset the values of the thermostat and
timer have been reset back to factory
settings.

Place 4 AA/LR6 Alkaline long life
batteries (fig. 2.2).
Close the lid and replace the receiver
set in the gas block support.
Replacing empty batteries
Handset: If the indication BATT
appears in the top right hand corner
of the display, the batteries of the
remote control need replacing.
Receiver: When the LED-light on the
receiver weakens, the batteries of the
receiver need replacing.
Setting the remote control.
Indication in display (standard
°F/12-h):
Press the AUTO and TIMER buttons
simultaneously, the display will be
blinking (fig. 1.4).
Now press the AUTO button to change
the setting from °C/24-h to°F/12-h
or vice versa.
The remote control will go back to
the normal setting in due time, but
this can also be done directly by
pressing the TIMER button.
Time setting:
Press the AUTO and TIMER buttons
simultaneously, the display will be
blinking (fig. 1.4).
Press the
button to set the hours
(fig.1.5).
Press the
button to set the minutes
(fig.1.6).
The remote control will go back to
the normal setting in due time, but
this can also be done directly by
pressing the TIMER button.
Basic functions.
