6. Unpacking
• Open the packaging and remove the device carefully.
• Remove the packaging material as well as the packaging and trans-
port bracing (if available).
• Check that the delivery is complete.
• Check the device and accessory parts for transport damage.
• If possible, store the packaging until the warranty period has expired.
ATTENTION
The device and packaging materials are not toys! Children must
not be allowed to play with plastic bags, film and small parts!
There is a risk of swallowing and suffocation!
7. Use
Advice for a long battery service life
m CAUTION!
• Never charge batteries below 0 °C or above 40 °C.
• Do not charge batteries in environments with high humidity or high
temperatures.
• Do not cover the battery or the charger during charging.
• Disconnect the charger mains plug after charging the battery.
During charging, the battery and the charger will heat up. That is normal.
Lithium-ion batteries do not have the known "memory effect". Never-
theless, a battery should be fully discharged before charging it, and the
charging process should always be fully completed.
NOTE
• Follow the battery charging instructions in the user manual for the
power tool or the charger.
• Reduced operating durations after charging indicate a worn battery.
The battery must be replaced.
