How to respond to a smoke alarm:
1 Do not panic. Stayca m and fol owyour fami y's escape plan.
2, Get out of the house asquickly as possible.Don't Stopto get dressed or
collect anything.
3. Feel doors with the back of your hand before opening them.

4. Ifa door is cool, open it slowly. Never open a hot door. Keepdoors and
windows closed un ess you must escape through them.
5. Cover your nose and mouth with a c 0th (preferab y damp).
6. Take short, shallow breaths.
7. Gather at a predetermined meeting place outside your home. Once
outside, perform a head count to make sure everybody got out safely.
8 Callthe FireDepartment assoon aspossible from outside. Give your
address,then your name.
9. Never go back inside a burning building for any reason.
10. Contact your Fire Department for ideas on making your home safer.
using the Silence Function
f there is a false alarm, you can temporarily si ence it by tapping the Silence
button on the app or by pressing the Test/SiIence button on the device.The
LEDindicator will flash red once every five seconds and you will receive an
Instant notification from the app, telling you that the device has been
temporarily silenced.
The silenceduration usual y astsfor nine minutes. After that, the device will
return to standby mode, provided that the smoke concentration has
dropped below the alarm level.
Note that the silence function wil only silencethe alarm for a short period, It
will NOTcorrect any prob ems.
