CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
• Always disconnect the plug from the power point and allow the appliance to cool
down before carrying out any cleaning operations.
• The outside parts should only be cleaned with a damp cloth: never submerge the
appliance in water or other liquids. Do not use chemical or abrasive products.
• Do not use knives or pointy instruments to remove any crumbs deposited at the
bottom since it may damage the appliance.
• Do not wash the tongs in a dishwasher, but clean them with water and dishwashing
detergent. Make sure they are thoroughly dry before replacing them in the appliance.
• To remove the crumbs deposited on the bottom, pull out the tray (4) and wash with
water and dish detergent. Before replacing the tray into the slot, make sure it is
completely dry.
INFORMATION FOR USERS
In accordance with European Directives 2011/65/CE, 2002/96/CE and 2003/108/CE on the
restriction of the use of dangerous substances in electric and electronic equipment as well as
their waste disposal.
• T he barred symbol of the rubbish bin shown on the equipment indicates that, at the end of its useful life,
the product must be collected separately from other waste.
• T herefore, any products that have reached the end of their useful life must be given to waste disposal
centres specialising in separate collection of waste electrical and electronic equipment, or given back to
the retailer at the time of purchasing new similar equipment, on a one for one basis.
• T he adequate separate collection for the subsequent start-up of the equipment sent to be recycled, tre-
ated and disposal of in an environmentally compatible way contributes to preventing possible negative
effects on the environment and health and optimises the recycling and reuse of components making up
the apparatus.
• A busive disposal of the product by the user involves application of the administrative sanctions according
to the laws in force.
