Disconnect the mains plug from the mains socket in thunderstorms for reasons of safety.
Make sure that the mains cable is not squeezed, bent, damaged by sharp edges or put under mechanical stress.
Avoid excessive thermal stress on the mains cable from extreme heat or cold.
Do not modify the mains cable. Otherwise the mains cable may be damaged. A damaged mains cable can cause
a deadly electric shock.
Do not touch the mains cable if it is damaged.
– First, power down the respective mains socket (e.g. via the respective circuit breaker) and then carefully pull
the mains plug from the mains socket.
– Never use the product if the mains cable is damaged.
A damaged mains cable may only be replaced by the manufacturer, a workshop commissioned by the manufac-
turer or a similarly qualified person, so as to prevent any danger.
Ensure that cables are not pinched, kinked or damaged by sharp edges.
Always lay cables so that nobody can trip over or become entangled in them. This poses a risk of injury.
7.6 Operating environment
Do not place the product under any mechanical stress.
Protect the appliance from extreme temperatures, strong jolts, flammable gases, steam and solvents.
Protect the product from high humidity and moisture.
Protect the product from direct sunlight.
7.7 Food contamination
To avoid contamination of food observe the following instructions:
Opening the door for long periods can cause a significant increase of the temperature inside the compartments
of the appliance.
Regularly clean surfaces that can come in contact with food and accessible drainage systems.
Store raw meat and fish in suitable containers in the refrigerator to prevent them from coming into contact with or
dripping onto other food.
Use frozen-food compartments appropriately:
– Two-star: Pre-frozen food, ice cream, ice cubes
– One-, two-, and three-star: Not suitable for freezing fresh food
If the refrigerating appliance is left empty for long periods, switch or, defrost, clean, dry, and leave the door open
to prevent mould developing within the appliance.
Clean and dry the compartments thoroughly after use. Keep the door open to prevent mold from growing.
7.8 Operation
Do not use electrical appliances such as a hair dryer or heater to defrost the product. Containers with flammable
gases or liquids can leak at low temperatures.
Do not store any containers with flammable materials, such as spray cans and fire extinguisher refill cartridges,
in the product.
Do not store inflammable gases or liquids inside your fridge/freezer.
Do not place carbonated or fizzy drinks in the freezer compartment. Ice lollies can cause "frost freeze burns" if
consumed straight from the product.
Do not use electrical appliances inside the food storage compartments of the appliance, unless they are of type
recommended by the manufacturer.
