Preparations for use
Attaching the side shields
WARNING!
Risk of infection due to falling or contaminated side
shields in the OP field.
• Do not use damaged side shields.
• In order to avoid infections due to impurities and
bodily fluids or infection by other users, clean

and disinfect intake side shields before each use.
• Ensure that the side shields are facing in the
correct direction. The clamp must be located in
the middle between the upper and lower bars.
Caution!
Risk of injury due to damaged side shields!
• Do not use damaged side shields.
Install the side shields as follows:
• Guide the left bracket through the large loop of the

black fastening tape on the inner side of the left side
shield (fig. 6).
• Hold the clamp and the side shield in place.
• Pull the fastening tape outwards and backwards
tightly, so that it is in the guide grooves and hangs into
the rear flap (fig. 7).
