Installation (recommendations)
●
For hydraulic applications: Vertical with the pressure connection pointing upwards
●
For pneumatic applications: Vertical with the pressure connection pointing downwards
●
In order to prevent mechanical damage when dealing with critical applications involving heavy vibra-
tions or blows, for example, we recommend securing the unit with an elastomer clamp and decoupling
the hydraulic ports via a Minimess hose.
●
Screw in the device using a suitable open-end wrench (wrench size see ▶Sec. 10.2 "Dimensions") at
the hexagon of the pressure connection.
●
Please observe the recommended tightening torque (▶Sec. 10.1 "Technical data")
NOTICE
u Do not install the device by gripping the housing, as this would damage the housing or the entire unit.
Electrical connection
●
When using hose mounting the housing has to be grounded separately.
●
In order to reduce the effect of electromagnetic interference:
– Make line connections as short as possible.
– Use shielded lines (e.g. LIYCY 4 x 0.5 mm²)
– The cable shield must be fitted by qualified personnel subject to the environmental conditions and
with the aim of suppressing interference.
NOTICE
u Keep the unit well away from the electrical supply lines of power equipment, as well as from any
electrical or electronic equipment causing interference.
5.2
Mounting the device
723605387-2
1. Installing the sensor directly into the hydraulic system via the threaded connection.
2. Connecting the sensor according to instructions (▶Sec. 10.3 "Terminal connections")
3. Make sure the block is grounded via the hydraulic system.
The sensor itself does not have to be grounded, except when using hose mounting.
