In order to achieve a solid joint, it is recommended to roughen the surface of the welded parts by rubbing it
gently, e.g. with fi ne-grained sandpaper.
Ensure that the welding cables are correctly installed.
If the interchangeable welding pins show signs of wear in the form of black residue, they should be cleaned by
rubbing them gently with fi ne-grained sandpaper. If cleaning does not have the desired eff ect, the pins must
be replaced with new, defect-free ones to ensure effi cient operation of the welder.
As the rated voltage of the battery decreases, there may be a noticeable drop in the performance of the prod-
uct. The nominal battery voltage is displayed in real time on the display of the switched-on device. The product
needs to be fully charged to restore full performance.
Nickel strips
The welder handles 'pure nickel' strips, which are made of nickel with a purity of more than 99% with a maxi-
mum thickness of up to 0.15 mm, and nickel-plated steel strips with a maximum thickness of 0.2 mm.
Working with a welder
WARNING! To avoid burns, it is forbidden to place the welder and the parts to be welded on the arm, knee
or other parts of the body during operation. Place the welder and the parts to be welded on a fl at, stable and
non-fl ammable surface, away from sources of heat and moisture. Use personal protective equipment such as
safety goggles, gloves and protective clothing.
WARNING! Before welding, the correct power should be set for the type and thickness of workpieces to be
welded by making connections on waste material. Setting too low a welding power will result in an unstable
joint, while setting too high a welding power may lead to overheating of the parts to be welded, e.g. damage to
the cell, which may result in a fi re or even an explosion!
CAUTION! Follow the recommendations described in the "Recommendations for use of the welder" section
of the manual. Ensure that the pins of the welding fi xtures do not short-circuit each other or the parts to be
welded. After start-up, if the device detects inactivity, it will switch itself off after approximately 20 minutes.
CAUTION! Only weld the strip to one electrode of the cell at a time. It is not possible to weld a strip with several
electrodes. Do not apply the welding pins to two diff erent electrodes of the cell.
Press the switch for approx. 4 seconds. The display (II) will show the welding power parameter, marked
"Power". This parameter is used to set the sealing power in the range 1 - 10, where 1 is the lowest sealing
power setting and 10 is the highest sealing power setting. Briefl y pressing the function button marked with an
up arrow increases the setting, while briefl y pressing the function button marked with a down arrow decreases
the setting. The set value will be shown on the display. Grip the welding fi xtures. One grip with one hand, the
other grip with the other hand. Welding cables should not be crossed. Apply both welding fi xtures at the same
time, perpendicular to the surface of the piece to be welded, so that the pins in the fi xtures do not touch each
other, but are in contact with the surface of the piece to be welded. The pins should not be further apart than
4 - 5 mm. The device automatically detects contact between the welding pins and the surface to be welded
and, after approx. 1 second, a spot weld is formed as a result of the high current fl ow and heat generation in
the area where the welding pins are applied. Note that smoke may be emitted during the welding process.
When work is complete, switch off the unit. To do this, press the switch for approximately 4 seconds until the
product display switches off . As the device components may be hot when welding is complete, the welding
fi xtures should be set apart so that the pins of the welding fi xtures do not come into contact with any surface.
Wait until the device components have cooled down completely. Then dismantle the welding cables and
proceed with maintenance.
Use of the product for charging portable devices
Before starting charging the device, see the documentation provided with the device to make sure that pow-
erbanks can be used for charging it.
Switch on the unit by pressing the switch for approximately 4 seconds. Connect the plug of the charging cable
