Update via Computer:
Ensure X4 is powered on.
•
Connect the camera to the computer using the USB Type-C cable and select USB
•
Mode.
Download the latest firmware version from the official Insta360 website onto
•
your computer.
Once the computer recognizes X4, copy the "Insta360X4FW.bin" file to X4's root
•
directory.
Note:
Do not alter the file name.
•
Disconnect X4 from the computer. X4 will automatically power off, and the
•
Indicator Lights will slowly flash blue.
X4 will automatically restart once the update is complete.
•
Lens Guards
X4 includes a Standard Lens Guard in the package. For enhanced protection and clearer
shots, consider using the Premium Lens Guard (available separately). These tempered
glass lens guards are easy to apply and provide comprehensive protection against
bumps and scratches.
Installation Guidelines:
Ensure that both the lenses and Lens Guards are clean and dry before
•
installation, and always perform the installation in a clean, dry environment. Any
dust or foreign objects on the Lens Guards' surface can affect the final image
quality. Clean the Lens Guards with clean water and a soft cloth before
installation.
Activate "Lens Guard Mode" when using the Lens Guards and deactivate it after
•
removing them.
Note that dirty or worn Lens Guards may impact the final image result.
•
The Lens Guards are not intended for underwater use. Always remove them and
•
deactivate Lens Guard Mode before using the camera underwater, even when
using a Dive Case.
To prevent fogging, thoroughly dry the Lens Guards with a soft cloth if they come
•
into contact with water, snow, or fog.
Exercise caution to avoid scratching the camera lens when removing the Lens
•
Guards.
