Hazards due to refrigerants
WARNING
HEALTH HAZARD!
If the refrigeration circuit is damaged, the refrigerant isobutane R600a will leak out. The
refrigerant is harmful to health if it comes into contact with the eyes or is inhaled.
WARNING
FLAMMABLE GAS!
EXPLOSION AND FIRE HAZARD!
The refrigerant circuit of the unit contains the refrigerant isobutane (R600a), a
natural gas with high environmental compatibility that is flammable.
Only authorised specialists are allowed to intervene in the refrigeration system.
Do not damage the refrigerant circuit, e.g. by piercing the refrigerant ducts with
sharp objects, kinking pipes.
Do not damage any parts of the refrigeration circuit when transporting, setting up,
maintaining or disposing of the unit.
To prevent the formation of an ignitable gas-air mixture in the event of a leak in
the refrigerant circuit, the installation room must have a minimum size of 1 m³
per 8 g of refrigerant according to standard EN 378. The amount of refrigerant in
the refrigerator/freezer is indicated on the type plate.
Procedure in the event of a damaged refrigeration circuit:
Avoid open fire and ignition sources at all costs.
Ventilate the room in which the appliance is located.
Contact the customer service.
