General Safety Instructions
WARNING
To reduce the risk of injury, the user must read and understand the instruction
manual.
The unit has been designed with the benefit of the most up-to-date technology and
to recognised safety regulations, and is safe to operate. However, if it is used incor-
rectly or for a purpose for which it was not intended, risks to the user or to third
parties or damage to property may result. For this reason, read and comply with the
safety instructions!
KEEP ALL SAFETY NOTES AND INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE FUTURE.
● Only use the unit for the purpose for which it was intended, with due attention to
the general safety and accident prevention regulations.
● Only allow trained personnel to use it. Apprentices may only operate the unit
when they are older than 16, when this is necessary for their training, and under
the supervision of a trained operative.
● Keep work place clean and well lit. Untidiness and unlit work areas can lead to
accidents.
● Avoid dangerous ambient influences (e.g. inflammable fluids or gases).
● Wear tight work clothes, keep long hair well clear, take off jewellery and similar.
● Use personal safety equipment (safety glasses).
● Keep bystanders away, especially children.
● Avoid abnormal body posture. Make sure that you have a firm footing and keep
your balance at all times.
● Do not overload the unit.
● Check the unit occasionally for damage, and to see that it is operating correctly.
● Replace worn parts as early as possible.
● Only use genuine spare parts and accessories, for personal safety reasons, to
ensure correct operation of the unit, and to preserve the basis for warranty claim.
● All unauthorised modifications of the unit are prohibited for safety r easons.
● All repair work must be performed only by specialist personnel or by persons
familiar with the unit.
Use for the intended purpose
WARNING
Use the REMS Push and REMS Push INOX for the intended purpose of pressure
and tightness tests of piping systems and receptacles.
All other uses are not for the intended purpose and are prohibited.

CAUTION
Medium under pressure can escape in case of leaks. Protect the area from
unauthorised access during pressure testing.
The hand pressure testing pump (A) is used to test for tightness in installed
piping (B). To do so, attach the connecting line (C) with the pressure gauge (D)
with specified scale, and also the shut-off valve (E) to the installed s ystem.
Close the shut-off valve (E) and fill the system. Connect the high-pressure hose
(23) of the hand pressure testing pump to the system being tested ( hose
connection ½"). Open the return valve (14), open the shut-off valve (E), and fill
the reservoir (24). Close the return valve (14). Bleed the i nstalled system. Close
the shut-off valve upstream of the installed system (F). Set the specified/required
test pressure by pumping several times with the pump lever (2). In the case of

major differences between the ambient temperature and the water temperature,
a waiting period until these temperatures are ba lanced is necessary. Close the
shut-off valve (E) at the installed system. C omply with the testing time as
specified. After completion of the pressure test, open the return valve (14).
Remove the high pressure hose from the installed system.
3. Maintenance
Regularly grease the pump piston and clean the intake filter and the valves. To
clean the valve of the intake side, remove the shaft (6) and the piston (7), to
clean the valve on the discharge side unscrew the threaded sleeve (20), and
to clean the return valve (14) unscrew it using its handle.
4. Trouble
4.1. Trouble: The required testing pressure is not achieved.
Cause:
● Suction filter (22) is blocked.
● Ball (8) on intake side does not close.
● Ball (18) on discharge side does not close.
● Return valve (14) does not close.
● O-ring (9) on pump piston does not close.
● Installed system is not tight.
● Shut-off valve (F) not closed.
4.2. Trouble: The testing pressure is not maintained.
Cause:
● Shut-off valve(s) (E) and/or (F) not closed.
● Installed system is not tight.
4.3. Trouble: Pump lever moves upwards.
Cause:
● Ball (18) on discharge side does not close.
