Washer Disinfector. An Insert left standing wet may stain, corrode,
or clog.
Cleaning: Manual
• Prepare an enzymatic instrument cleaning solution per
manufacturer's instructions paying attention to concentration
rates. A pH neutral instrument cleaning solution such as Dentsply
Sirona Resurge® Instrument Cleaning Liquid is recommended.
• Fully immerse the insert in the instrument cleaning solution for
the recommended contact time.
• Rinse the insert under tepid, potable running water for at least
30 seconds. A disposable syringe may be used to rinse the holes
and cannulas.
• Inspect the insert for visible debris. If debris remains, repeat the
cleaning procedure using a nylon brush wetted with the cleaning
solution to remove it. Rinse the insert under tepid (potable)
running water for 30 seconds to remove cleaning agent.
• Dry the insert using a dry, disposable lint-free cloth or use a dental
instrument dryer. An insert left standing wet may stain, corrode,
or clog.
Maintenance, inspection and testing
• Visually inspect to ensure all contamination is removed.
• Visually inspect all O-rings for wear. Replace worn O-rings (Refer
to O-ring Replacement Kit Instructions). Lubricate O-rings with
water before use.
• Check for distortion, damage and wear (Refer to Efficiency Wear
Indicator Instructions). Discard damaged, worn or corroded
instruments.
Sterilization
Place bagged instruments into the steam sterilizer per
manufacturer's instructions.
