CONNECTION OF THE POWER SUPPLY
Plug in the power supply cable (8) to the TC-5B power socket "12–16 V" (6).
Check whether the wall mains socket provides the appropriate mains power,
which is the case if it is supplied with 230 V AC 50 Hz. After all other cable
connections have been made push the power supply into a mains socket. The
TC-5B will not be switched on through that. As long as the device is connected
to a live mains supply and switched on by pushing the mains switch, the Power
LED (1) is lit on the front oft the device.
Always connect the AC adaptor to the mains before you switch on the amplifier/
preamplifier!
POWER SUPPLY-/BATTERIE
The combination of phono preamplifier and mains power supply tends in prin-
ciple to interference based on the technical structure. In order to eliminate this,
the TC-5B offers the possibility to switch between mains power supply and bat-
tery (standard 9V) use. Depending on your turntable and the complete setup
of your hifi equipment this can make a big sound difference. We recommend
testing this in order to have the best sound experience. A standard alcaline 9V
battery lasts for about 40 hours of playing
