7.2.1.1 Oil Quality Check
The following features indicate poor oil quality:
Features
Brown discoloration, smell of burnt
oil
Floating and suspended materials
or deposits in the oil
Air bubbles, foaming (possibly
loud pump noise)
Visual inspection at regular intervals, see,
Æ
Exchange the oil as soon as one of the above features is detected.
Æ
7.2.1.2 Hydraulic Oil Filling
CAUTION!
Switch OFF the machine and wait approx. 5 min until the hydraulic system is
Æ
depressurized.
Æ
Clean the working area before opening the cap to prevent dirt from entering the oil
tank.
Fill the hydraulic oil through the filler neck of the oil tank. The fill level is clearly visible thanks to the
transparent tank; the required fill level is indicated as follows:
Maximum oil level: The fill level line in the oil tank reaches the bottom
of the filler neck.
Minimum oil level: The fill level line in the oil tank completely covers
the suction valve of the hydraulic pump; no air is sucked in.
Ensure that the tank is properly installed and secured with a pipe
Æ
clamp.
Æ
Open the tank cap.
Use a funnel or flexible drain pipe to prevent hydraulic oil from spilling.
Æ
Æ
Fill in hydraulic oil until the fill level line in the oil tank reaches the
bottom of the filler neck.
Æ
Close the tank cap and tighten it hand-tight.
