Use
6.1
General
Check the equipment for completeness and damage. Do not use the equipment if it is damaged; in that
case contact the Holmatro dealer.
WARNING
Make sure you are up to date on all safety regulations and that you have mastered the use
of all equipment of the system you are going to work with.
6.2
Before use
•
Connect the hydraulic hose. Refer to chapter 5.2.
6.3
During use
WARNING
Wear personal means of protection at all times.
Never stand immediately behind the tool. These tools have enormous power.
CAUTION
To avoid damage to the spreader:
•
Do not use the spreader in situations where the desired spreading distance is more then
90 mm. The maximum safe spreading distance of the spreader is 90 mm.
•
It is not allowed to put any hydraulic pressure on the spreader at the end of it's stroke.
•
Always make sure that the tool is loaded when it is pressurized.
•
Close the relief valve on the pump.
•
Operate the hand pump or foot pump to open the spreading wedge.
6.4
After use
6.4.1
Shut down and disconnect
•
Open slowly the relief valve on the pump. The pressure decreases and the load lowers. The
spreading arm returns to its home position by the internal spring.
•
Disconnect the hydraulic hose from the tool and the pump. Refer to chapter 5.3.
6.4.2
Inspection
•
Check the tool for completeness, leaks and damage. Do not use the tool if it leaks or is damaged
and contact the Holmatro dealer.
6.4.3
Cleaning and storage
•
Clean the tool and any accessories before storage.
•
Store the tool in a dry and well-ventilated area.
