1. Connect a conducting Airless hose (E) to the fluid
inlet of the spray gun.
2. Switch on the pump without having fitted a nozzle.
Fill pump (see pump manual). Set to the lowest possible
pressure level. Fill system with fluid.
3. Relieve pressure.
4. Insert the reversible nozzle (8) into the nozzle holder
(30).
5. Guide the metal seat into the nozzle holder through
the retaining nut and turn until it is firmly in contact with
the cylinder.
6. Position the O-ring on the metal seat until it fits into
the grooves.
7. Manually tighten the nozzle holder lock nut to the
spray gun.
8. Turn the nozzle holder into the desired position.
9. Fully tighten the lock nut.
Adjusting spray patterns
1. Relieve the pressure to adjust the spray pattern direc-
tion. Undo the nozzle holder lock nut (B). Turn the noz-
zle slot into a horizontal position (C) to achieve horizontal
spray patterns and in a vertical direction (A) to achieve
vertical spray patterns. Tighten the nut.
2. The spray nozzle orifice and spray angle determine
coverage and size of the spray pattern. If you need more
coverage, use a larger spray nozzle rather than increasing
the fluid pressure.
Note
Openings in the nozzle holder reduce fluid
buildup on the nozzle guard while spraying.
Damage to the sharp edges of the openings
causes fluid to collect in said areas. Never
hang the gun by the nozzle holder.
10. Switch on the pump. Aim the gun at the test surface
and pull the trigger. Adjust the pressure until the nozzle
produces spray. Use lowest pressure setting necessary
to obtain the desired results. Higher pressure may not
necessarily improve spray patterns and cause premature
nozzle and pump wear.
11. If adjusting the pressure does not result in a good spray
pattern, relieve the pressure and then try a different noz-
zle size.
12. Completely finish one process while fully pressing
the trigger. Hold the spray gun at a 90° angle at a maxi-
mum distance of 300 mm to the work surface. Do not
swing the gun in an arc. Experiment to find the best spray
distance and speed of stroke.
