"In rest position" means that the control valves of the posi-
tioner are isolated or not actuated.
If the ambient air is humid, a hose can be connected
between control working connection 2
and the unconnected chamber of the actuator for control
function A or control function B.
As a result, the spring chamber of the actuator is supplied
with dry air from the vent duct of the positioner.
The pneumatic and electrical supply as well as the start-up
and functions of the positioner are described in the oper-
ating instructions for the type concerned.
