TROUBLESHOOTING
Problem
The espresso machine
does not brew coffee.
The espresso runs over
the edges of the fixed
portafilter and not out of
the holes.
The portafilter cannot be
attached to the device.
Possible cause
Residual air in the
device.
No water in the water
tank.
The portafilter openings
are clogged.
The filter sieve is
clogged.
The water tank has been
installed incorrectly and
the valves on the bottom
are not open.
Limescale deposits in the
water cycle.
The portafilter has been
inserted incorrectly or
is dirty.
The outlet openings
of the portafilter are
clogged.
The filter sieve is
clogged.
Too much ground coffee
has been put into the
filter sieve.
Solution
After heating up, open
the steam dial as
described in the "Getting
started" section.
Fill the water tank.
Clean the portafilter
openings.
Clean the filter sieves
as described in the
"Cleaning and care"
section.
Press the water tank
down slightly to open
the valves at the bottom.
Descale the device
as described in the
"Cleaning and care"
section.
Insert the portafilter
correctly and turn it until
it stops.
Clean the portafilter
outlet openings.
Clean the filter sieves
as described in the
"Cleaning and care"
section.
Use the provided
measuring spoon and
make sure you use the
correct filter sieve for the
type of coffee you are
brewing.
