S a f e t y i n s t r u c t i o n s :
•
Read operating instructions thoroughly. Failure to comply can result in
device failure, system damage or personal injury.
•
According to EN 13313 it is intended for use by persons having the
appropriate knowledge and skill.
•
In a severely contaminated system, avoid breathing acid vapors and
avoid contact with skin from contaminated refrigerant / lubricants.
Failure to do so could result in injury.
•
Before opening any system make sure pressure in system is brought to
and remains at atmospheric pressure.
•
Do not exceed the specified maximum ratings for pressure,
temperature, voltage and current.
•
Before installation or service disconnect all voltages from system and
device.
Note: Float contains lead and has to be recycled in case of disposal!

1. Preparation thread connection vessel: Remove plug or sight glass from
thread on vessel and make sure the thread is free of sealing material and no
indication of damages.
2. Put adapter ring (14) loose on vessel thread connection.
3. Mount LW adapter with consideration adapter type as follows:
NPTF tapered threaded Adapters:
- Inspect thread part and sealing surface is free of nicks and burrs.
- Wrap teflon tape around male thread in proper direction
- Screw adapter into port and tight by hand until stop reached.
- Tighten by wrench with 80 Nm for 3/4"-14NPTF connections and with
65 Nm for 1/2" -14NPTF connections.
- Do not turn backward!
Warning: Over or insufficient tightening, will damage the thread or
cause the leakage.
- Follow below step 4 to 8.
UNF/UNEF threaded Adapters:
- OM0-CBB: mount O-ring (13) to the adapter (12). Pay attention to proper
seating of the O-ring when mounting the adapter. Tighten by hand and
apply 50 Nm torque. Follow below step 4 to 8.
- OM0-CCB: locate O-ring (13) inside vessel female port - do not reuse old
female port O-ring. Tighten by hand and apply 50 Nm torque. Follow
below step 4 to 8.
4. Remove and discard the screw transport holder (9) from the back side, which
secure screws and sight glass during transportation.
5. Locate O-ring (10) into the Adapter (front side).
6. Locate the stamped groove into the adapter ring (14) in line with the base
unit (1) marking (Fig. 3).

7.
Mount the base unit (1) including O-ring (10) to the adapter ring (14).
Note: For proper function the unit must be installed horizontally by
rotating Adapter ring (14) (Fig. 2).
8. Tighten the three screws (7 & 8) only hand tight, then gradually and evenly
in ½ turns until reaching the dedicated torque of 12 Nm. This procedure is
mandatory to achieve full leak tightness.

Adapter types: OM0-CCD/CCE
1. Remove and discard the screw transport holder (9) from the back side,
which secure screws and sight glass during transportation.
2. Locate O-ring (10) into the Adapter. (front side).
3. Locate the stamped groove into the adapter (15/17) in line with the base
unit (1) marking (Fig. 3).
4. Mount the base unit (1) including O-ring (10) to the adapter (15/17).
Tighten the three screws (7 & 8) only hand tight, then gradually and evenly
in ½ turns until reaching the dedicated torque of 12 Nm. This procedure is
mandatory to achieve full leak tightness.
5. Remove the sight glass from the vessel.
6. Mount supplied PTFE gasket (16) into nut of adapter (15). Put entire
assembly to vessel connection and while holding horizontally to comply
with Fig. 2, tighten by hand and apply torque of 90 Nm for OM0-CCD
(wrench size 50 mm) and 65 Nm for OM0-CCE (wrench size 42 mm).
Note 1: For proper function the unit must be installed horizontally (Fig. 1
& 2).
Note 2: Check Rotalock adapters for tightness after 1-2 days of operation.

Adapter types: OM0-CUA
The use of flange type adapter is applicable to vessels having the same holes
arrangement as adapter. This insures the horizontal installation of LW (Fig. 2).
1. Follow steps 1 to 5 like Rotalock installation above.
2. Mount O-ring (18) between adapter (17) and vessel. Use 3/4 screws M6
(not part of delivery) and tighten according to vessel manufacturer
instruction.
P r e s s u r e T e s t :
After completion of installation, a pressure test must be carried out as follows:
- according to EN 378 for systems which must comply with European
pressure equipment directive 14/68/EU.
- to maximum working pressure of system for other applications.
Warning:
•
Failure to do so could result in loss of refrigerant and personal injury.
•
The pressure test must be conducted by skilled persons with due
respect regarding the danger related to pressure.
