Selecting the Record Mode (Rec Mode)

 The Record Mode function works in both Camera Mode and
Player Mode. page 26
 This DVD Camcorder can film in the XP (extra play), the SP
(standard play) and the LP (long play) modes.
The SP mode is set as the factory default.
1. Set the [Mode] switch to [DISC].
(VP-DC163(i)/DC165W(i)/DC165WB(i) only)
2. Set the [Power] switch to [
[ (Player)].
3. Press the [MENU] button.
 The menu list will appear.
4. Move the [Joystick] up or down to select
<Record>, then press the [Joystick(OK)].
5. Move the [Joystick] up or down to select
<Rec Mode>, then press the [Joystick(OK)].
6. Move the [Joystick] up or down to select the
desired record mode (XP, SP or LP), then
press the [Joystick(OK)].
7. To exit, press the [MENU] button.
 The icon of the selected mode is displayed.

* : Recorded files are encoded with Variable Bit
Rate(VBR).
The recording times shown above are

approximate and depend on the recording
environment (i.e. lighting conditions).
VBR is an encoding system that automatically

adjusts the bit rate according to the recording
image.

 Die Funktion Aufnahmemodus ist in den Cam-Modus und Player-
Modus verfügbar. Seite 26
 Dieser DVD-Camcorder ermöglicht Aufnahmen in den Modi XP
(Extra Play), SP (Standard Play) und LP (Long Play).
Standardmäßig ist der Modus SP eingestellt.
1. Stellen Sie den Moduswahlschalter auf [DISC].
2. Stellen Sie den Betriebsart-Wähler auf
Camera Mode
►Record
3. Drücken Sie die Taste [MENU].
Rec Mode ►SP
Wind Cut ►Off
4. Wählen Sie mit dem [Joystick] den Menüpunkt
5. Wählen Sie mit dem [Joystick] den Menüpunkt
OK MENU
Move Select Exit
6. Wählen Sie mit dem [Joystick] den gewünschten
Camera Mode
►Record
Rec Mode XP
7. Um das Menü zu verlassen, drücken Sie die
Wind Cut SP

automatisch je nach Aufnahmebedingungen angepasst.
