Safety features

The fan heater features tip protection that switches the appliance off if it
should fall over unexpectedly. When you stand it up again, it resumes
operation.
But to do this, first switch the appliance off, remove the plug from the power
socket and check the fan heater for any damage. Do not use the appliance if it
is damaged or does not function correctly. Take it for inspection and if
necessary for repair.
NOTE
Overheating protection causes the fan heater to cut out if it becomes too
hot.
This can occur if the heater cannot fully expel all its heat or if too little fresh air
is available for it to draw in. The usual cause of this is that something is
covering or partly covering the heater or that the air inlet or outlet grille is
blocked or clogged; other causes are the presence of dirt or a positioning of
the unit too close e.g. to a wall.
If the overheating protection of the fan heater cuts out, set the function
controller to OFF (O), then unplug from the power socket and allow the unit to
cool down. You should remove the cause of the overheating before operating
the fan heater again.
If you cannot identify the cause of the overheating and the problem persists,
stop using the heater and take it for examination and possible repair.
