MACHINE OPERATION (SCRUBBING/DRYING)
1.
Start the machine as shown in the previous paragraph.
2.
If necessary, press the solution fl ow control switches (54) as necessary, depending on the type of cleaning to be performed.
3.
If necessary, stop the machine and adjust the squeegee balancing handwheel (23).
4.
If necessary, stop the machine and turn the adjusting handwheel (37); when turning it clockwise or counter-clockwise the
machine forward speed can be adjusted.
5.
If necessary, stop the machine and turn the forward speed adjusting handwheel (38) as shown below:
•
Turn it counter-clockwise to increase the forward speed;
•
Turn it clockwise to decrease the forward speed.
NOTE
For correct scrubbing/drying of fl oors at the sides of the walls, Nilfi sk suggests to go near the walls with the right side of
the machine as shown in fi gure 2.
CAUTION!
To avoid any damage to the fl oor surface, turn off the brush/pad-holders when the machine stops in one place.
TANK EMPTYING
An automatic fl oat shut-off system (33) turns off the vacuum system when the recovery tank (17) is full.
The vacuum system deactivation is signalled by a sudden increase in the vacuum system motor noise frequency, and the fl oor is
not dried.
CAUTION!
If the vacuum system turns off accidentally (for example, when the fl oat is activated because of a sudden
machine movement), to resume the operation: turn off the vacuum system by pressing the switch (52), then
open the cover (18) and check that the fl oat inside the grid (33) has gone down to the water level. Then close the
cover (18) and turn on the vacuum system by pressing the switch (52).
When the recovery tank (17) is full, empty it according to the following procedure.
Recovery tank emptying
1.
Stop the machine.
2.
Disconnect the power supply cable (3) from the electrical mains and place it on the holder (4).
3.
Lift the brush/pad-holder deck by pressing the pedal (8).
4.
Lift the squeegee (25) with the lever (7).
5.
Drive the machine to the appointed disposal area.
6.
Empty the recovery tank with the hose (12). Then, rinse the tank with clean water. Use the removable hose (6) (if equipped).
Solution tank emptying
1.
Perform steps 1 to 5.
2.
Empty the solution tank with the hose (13). Then, rinse the tank with clean water.
