Intended use
The MEDISANA Therapy Light LT 460 is intended for use as a
light bath respectively therapy light to treat seasonal affective dis-
order (SAD), also known as the "winter blues".
The use may support energy boost and stabilization of cardiac fre-
quency as may help to experience a more "awake" feeling.
The device is intended only for the treatment of humans.

Contraindications

Before using the appliance, consult your doctor if you:
• suffer(ed) from severe depression,
• had a recent eye surgery or a diagnosed eye condition, which
cause avoidance of bright light
• are on specific medication (i.e. analgesics, antidepressants,
psychotropic drugs or malaria tablets);
• high blood pressure / vitreous haemorrhage
• suffer from skin sensitivity to light, such as systemic lupus
erythematosus
Possible side effects
You may experience the following side effects:
• headaches
• eyestrain
• sleeping problems
• nausea
Measures to avoid, minimize or alleviate these side effects:
• Increase the treatment distance and do not look into the light
directly
• Avoid using the appliance during the late evening or before
sleep
• Stop using the appliance for a few days to make the side effects
disappear and then try again.
