Intended Use
The air caulking gun is a tool driven by compressed air. It is designed for
delivering and processing of sealants such as silicone, adhesives, jointing
pastes, etc., from commercially available standard cartridges.
The intended use also includes an operation following the operating
instructions.
Any use beyond these parameters (different media, applying force) or any
changes (reconstruction, no original accessory) can lead to serious risks and
is regarded as use that is contrary to the intended purpose.
Before first Use
Unpack the air caulking gun and the required accessory and check all parts for
any damage in transit. Dispose of packaging materials or store them out of reach
of children. Plastic bags etc. may become a deadly toy for children.
Start-up
1. The air caulking gun equipped with an R ¼" air inlet (6). For your own safety it
is not recommended to use a permanent connection between the air tool and
the air hose, but use the supplied quick coupling adaptor (7) instead.
2. Seal the end of the quick coupling adaptor with Teflon tape before you screw it
onto the air connection of the air caulking gun.
3. Use a flexible hose to connect the air caulking gun to the compressor. Set up a
pressure of approx. 4 bar on the compressor. Check all air connections for
leakages. Switch off the compressor again.
4. Unscrew the locking nut (9) from the cartridge holder (1). Remove the rubber
sealing ring (8) and insert the cartridge backside facing first into the cartridge
holder. Make sure the cartridge is inserted completely. Unscrew the nozzle of
the cartridge. Use a sharp knife to cut the tip of the nozzle, so it matches the
diameter of the joint you want to seal.
5. Put the rubber sealing ring onto the head of the cartridge and secure it by
screwing the locking nut (9) onto the cartridge opening (2).
6. Use a sharp knife to cut the tip of the cartridge and to open the cartridge. Then
screw the cartridge nozzle back on the cartridge.
7. Setup the air flow regulator (4) to a low setting by turning
the knob counter clockwise to the minus icon.
8. Switch on the compressor.
