Risk of material damage
Improper use of the device may lead to fire and other material
damage. Should the device produce smoke, smell like burning
or make unusual noises, immediately disconnect it from the
OBD socket and do not operate the device again.
¶ Do not use the device if its housing or connection is faulty or
if there is any other visible damage.
¶ Switch off the ignition when you connect the device with the
OBD socket, or disconnect it.
¶ Only operate the device inside the vehicle and protect it from
drips and splashes of water.
¶ Never handle the plug with wet hands.
¶ Regularly check the housing for damage.
Battery discharge
For operation, the device requires electrical power, which is
obtained from the vehicle electrical system. Extended down-
times can lead to the vehicle battery becoming discharged.
¶ Remove the device from the OBD socket in the event of
extended downtimes.
